We already have voter ID laws. When a person registers to vote they must prove who they are. Unless there is extensive voter fraud--which there is not--why needlessly add a further burden and potentially disenfranchise someone.
Federal law requires people to be U.S. citizens to vote, no argument there. The devil's in the details of the SAVE act. It requires documentation that most people don't have (e.g., birth certificate or passport). Driver's licenses including RealID are not proof of citizenship so they can't be used. Election officials already use state and federal data to validate eligibility to vote, so the real issue is that this law creates more problems that it solves. I will respectfully disagree with you. While there are laws, the lawyers and the politicians have bent the laws to fit their needs. Everything from allowing ballots to come in a week or two after the election to having boxes of ballots show up in people's trunks after the election is over. Please go ahead a believe what you want, though!
I am always open to people who disagree, as long as there is no name calling and childish behavior. Please feel free to challenge me whenever you'd like!
If requiring an ID to vote is Jim Crow 2.0 because black people are "disinherited"...
Then it is a violation of the Constitution to to require an ID to buy a firearm, alcohol or get a drivers license! I sure as hell don't want someone so stupid they cannot get a drivers license.... picking the next president!

So now let's think about this....
We are... The Sword of God!
Someone once said to me that the Dems fuck up everything they touch. Sadly this entails our Country as well.
