Who’ll Pick the Lettuce? Apparently… Someone. America’s Still Standing.
They Promised Chaos Without Illegal Immigration—Guess What Didn’t Happen
Turns Out, America Didn’t Collapse Without Illegal Immigration
Remember when they told us the sky would fall if we stopped letting illegal immigrants flood across the southern border? Remember the hand-wringing headlines? "Who's going to pick your lettuce? Who'll mow your lawn? Who's going to clean the houses of the people too busy tweeting about social justice from their wine cellars?"
Well, here's the answer: America did not collapse. In fact, things are looking more secure, more lawful, and dare I say more sane.
Let’s talk numbers. Real numbers. Not the spin from Upchuck Schumer or the cryfests from the media sobbing over sanctuary cities.
In July 2025, only 4,601 people were caught illegally crossing the Southwest border between ports of entry. That’s a 92% drop compared to the same time last year. Ninety. Two. Percent. If this were climate data, they'd be calling it a crisis. But since it's illegal immigration, they act like it's a tragedy.
Nationwide, total apprehensions were around 6,177. That’s the lowest monthly total in CBP history. So either the cartels took a month off for vacation, or the enforcement actually started doing its damn job for once.
Now, let’s address the big scary myth: that without a never-ending stream of illegal labor, America would grind to a halt. And your lettuce would be $10 dollars a head!
Funny thing is, nobody's reporting a national lettuce shortage. My lawn still gets mowed. The UberEATS orders are still showing up. Turns out, when you stop incentivizing illegal labor, the market doesn’t implodes, it adapts. Legal residents step up. Businesses figure it out. Or here’s a thought: maybe we stop expecting other people to subsidize our laziness with illegal labor in the first place.
And what about deportations? Oh, they're happening.
More than 145,000 illegal immigrants have been deported by ICE detention centers since Trump took office. Add voluntary departures and self-deportations, and that number passes 280,000. That’s not a talking point. That’s a freight train of law and order finally getting back on the tracks.
The kicker? Americans want in. Not out.
Over 150,000 have applied to join ICE. Eighteen thousand have already received provisional job offers. That’s not apathy. That’s not cruelty. That’s called patriotism with a paycheck. People are done watching this country rot from within while politicians cash checks and shrug.
For forty years, we were told this couldn’t be fixed. That enforcing our own laws was somehow cruel. That protecting our border made us racist. That wanting a country with rules meant we were bad people.
Turns out, all of that was a lie. A big, fat, stinking political lie.
It wasn’t about labor. It was about power. Control. Fear. The more chaos at the border, the more the ruling class could pretend they were the only ones who understood how to handle it. Only they didn’t handle it. They let it fester. They let it rot. And they mocked anyone who dared to say enough.
Well, enough has arrived.
The numbers are dropping. The laws are being enforced. And yes, the American people are stepping up to help remove the criminal elements who should never have been here in the first place.
It’s not xenophobia. It’s not hate.
It’s called national survival!
I
And it’s about damn time.
Let the elite pearl-clutchers scream. Let the media cry into their soy lattes. We’ll be over here picking up the pieces they dropped, enforcing the laws they ignored, and finally, finally putting the American citizen first.
Turns out, that wasn’t so scary after all.
