You’re Not a Revolutionary, You’re Just Bored: The Rise of the Paid Protest Posers
So here’s what sparked it.
According to multiple reports this week, federal troops have been deployed in cities like D.C., Chicago and Memphis in an effort to crack down on rising crime. The move is controversial. And, as expected, here come the rent-a-mob screamers.
Cue the screaming, flailing, sobbing crowd, the same crowd you’ve seen at every protest since 2020. Same signs. Same hashtags. Same stink of entitlement and three-day-old patchouli oil. The only thing missing is the logic. Or jobs.
You’ve got protesters blocking streets, disrupting federal offices, and declaring themselves heroes of democracy because they held a cardboard sign for three hours. And let’s not pretend these folks just happened to be in the neighborhood with a bullhorn. Nah.
They’re being recruited. Funded. Paid.
Groups tied to Soros money, ActBlue donors, and activist networks are pumping millions into “civil engagement” efforts which, loosely translated, means busloads of barely-employed protest hobbyists with nothing better to do than play Weekend Warrior Revolution.
Now don’t misunderstand; real protest, real grassroots pushback? That’s American. That’s necessary. But this? This is cosplay for people with no skin in the game.
They don’t pay taxes. They don’t follow the laws. They couldn’t explain the Constitution if it was printed on a Starbucks cup. But suddenly they’re experts on geopolitics and criminal justice?
Please.
